your session can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on how many times you want to change outfits, etc.
if you’re like me, you’re probably never going to be one hundred percent thrilled with some part of your body. but that doesn’t mean you can’t get amazing boudoir photos anyway. trust me, the five pounds you hate so much won’t even show!
any age is really a good one for boudoir pictures. and you don’t have to look like a model to do this. the whole reason i started shooting these kinds of pictures was to help the vast majority of us -- who don’t look like beauty queens -- get beautiful, sexy boudoir portraits. i think it’s really important to have these photos, no only because they make a special gift for a loved one, but even more so because they make a really special gift for yourself.
i am a female photographer, and there will be no one other than you and me at the session. no men will be present, unless you invite one.
your photographs are kept in the strictest of confidence. i will only keep one copy in my archives in case you should ever need your copy replaced. i will never share them or publish them without your consent. no images will appear on my blog or web site unless you are completely okay with it.
i have a simple home studio in santa monica or we can shoot in your home if you think you’d be more comfortable there. this is all about your comfort. i’m a female photographer and our sessions will be private. i’m fine shooting anywhere.
the options are limitless. the pictures should reflect who you are. are you a lingerie girl? do you like wearing tank tops or t-shirts? all are appropriate. as are men’s button down dress shirts, a pair of suspenders, a dress tie, etc. all can be played with to create a super fun image. i do have some fabric to drape, and various props on hand, but lingerie, etc., is your responsibility. be sure to bring a few different things and be ready to experiment.
this all depends on what you are looking for. are you a lingerie girl? a tank top and white undies girl? whatever/whomever you are is wonderful and we’ll capture that look to your best advantage.
nobody said you had to be naked!! seriously, if you are only comfortable showing a bare shoulder -- that’s just fine. this type of photography is really all about your attitude, your expression, and how you feel. that’s what will come across on “film.”
to me, boudoir photography is all about capturing the natural sexiness of my subject. i try to make these sessions as relaxed as possible, so the shoot takes on a great big sense of fun and playfulness. i’ve discovered that the best pictures are all about attitude and a lot less about whatever curves you may or may not possess. lighting, angles, props, and a fantastic airbrushing tool all can, and are used to achieve the BEST look for you. i want everyday women to be able to have their own photos fit for a Victoria’s Secret catalogue.
sure. no problem. if having a friend there makes you feel more comfy, that’s fine.
a typical boudoir session starts at $500 for shoots in my studio and up depending on location. please

about two weeks after the shoot you will receive a dvd that has all finished photographs on it in high resolution jpegs, both color and black and white, and ready for printing either on your computer, or at any print location of your choosing. basically, you own the “negatives,” so you’ll never have to buy prints from me.
i work 7 days a week, only scheduling one shoot in the mornings and one in the afternoon. that way we’ll have plenty of time to get all the shots you’re looking for.

hell, yes!!! lighting, angles and draped fabric can work wonders at hiding things that should be hidden. also, i have a fantastic Photoshop airbrushing tool that lets anyone look like a cover girl. i simply love this piece of software and the magic it can do. let me show you. here’s a before photo:

notice how all the fine lines disappear and skin coloration is softened and lightened. this is all done without any makeup. pretty cool, huh?
